20 Photos That Showcase Western Australia’s Beautiful Landscape

Sky Stories_Star Light_Kellie Netherwood_PortfolioWestern Australia, a land of diverse and spectacular natural beauty

As I get ready for my next travel adventure in Antarctica, Chile Patagonia and Argentina, I’ve been reflecting on the year of short term travel in 2014 that has created some incredible photography opportunities in Australia, Iceland and the Azores.

I’m constantly searching for travel and photography opportunities.  But each step on foreign land has reminds me I have been neglecting  my own country, especially as I’ve been based in London since 2000.  After spending time in South Australia and Tasmania last year, I became more and more aware of the spectacular landscapes, energising remoteness and intriguing wildlife  that exists in Australia.

So when the opportunity came up to join two other photographers in Western Australia, I jumped at the chance.  And you can see from the map below, we only touched a small part of Australia’s largest state.  Western Australia’s natural beauty blew me away and inspired me to hopefully return one day to explorer the rest.

  1. Very nice Kellie – lots of good opportunities in Western Australia. I made fleeting visit to the pinnacles in September on my way back from Africa – it is a very interesting environment.
