Postcard from Faial Island, the Azores

A quick hello from Faial Island in the Azores, where I’ve just enjoyed a fantastic week with my camera in what is a fantastically diverse photography location.  Whales, dolphins, clear skies, a super moon, terrific light, picturesque countryside, interesting volcanic history, and an atmospheric marina in a tranquil and friendly environment.

Big thumbs up for Faial!

Now it’s time to head to check out Sao Miguel…

More photos and stories from the Azores coming soon…

  1. Looks lovely! Can’t wait to read your stories about the Azores… (Janice visited the Azores a few years ago on a SATW Canadian writers meeting.) So far, the islands haven’t suffered from too much tourism…
